REPLACE TERMINAL BUILDING
General Notice
The Anne Arundel County Tipton Airport Authority (Owner, Authority) is requesting Bids for the
construction of the following Project:
REPLACE TERMINAL BUILDING AIP 3-24-0042-032-2023
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received until 3:00pm local time on Thursday June
13, 2024 at the Conference Room of the Terminal Building at Tipton Airport located at 7515 General
Aviation Drive, Fort Meade, MD 20755. Bids received by the due date and time will be opened and
publicly read aloud.
The Project includes the following Work:
Construction of a 6,000 square foot, one-story terminal building with a parking lot.
The Project has an expected construction duration of 365 consecutive calendar days and contract
duration of 545 consecutive calendar days.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at the Tipton
Airport located at 7515 General Aviation Drive, Fort Meade, MD 20755.
Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Instructions to Bidders
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract
award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Bidder Questions
Bidder questions must be submitted via email to Andrew Daly ([email protected]) and will be
received until 3:00pm local time on Thursday June 6, 2024.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:
Airport Design Consultants, Inc. 6031 University Blvd., Suite 330
Ellicott City, MD 21043
Bid Documents will be made available on Friday May 17, 2024. Bid Documents may be obtained in
electronic
.pdf format, free of charge, through direct electronic transfer. Requests for bid documents in
electronic format may be made by submitting an e-mail request to Andrew Daly ([email protected]).
Bidders requesting electronic format bid documents must provide a contact name, name of firm they
represent with mailing address, and an email address for receipt of electronic files. Companies
requesting electronic transfer will receive an e-mail link for direct downloading.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, a deposit of cash or by a certified check payable to
the Owner and drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Maryland,
for an amount equal to 5% of the total base bid, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the
required Contract will be executed and the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond furnished
within ten
(10) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract.
It is the intent of the Authority to award the entire project, however, the award of this contract
is contingent upon the availability of local, state, and federal funds.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
